Post Page Rank

RealWebToday has had a good week with page visits and views up more than 22%. While I am not amazed at the interest in the DVD Rental Kiosks posts, I am surprised at the viewers tuned into posts related to debt freedom. We have succeeded if only one reader takes action to rid themselves of debt. If you are here reading this I know you don’t want to listen to me, so on with the numbers.

As you can see, site visits are up to there highest level. Bounce rate for the past month is down to 60% with new visits sitting around 77%. Yes, I admit these statistics are no-where near the numbers of ProBlogger or Steve Pavlina however they are an encouragement to me.

I am at a crossroads … trying to decide if you (the reader) are wanting more information from me along with my experiences about DVD Rental Kiosks. I was thinking about sharing experiences from my other endeavors as well. (Information Technologies / Church Media / Geographical Information Systems / Railroad Yardmaster & Conductor / Police Officer / Manager inside one of Americas largest Corporations) If you have any preferences in the direction this blog should take please let me hear from you.

    Shawn,

Have you considered any franchise opportunity anytime? If yes, please share your experiences. I would like to start a business to have a passive income for retirement. I have next 10 years to develop it. However until today i did not find even a single business or franchise with the income potential worth my time? So sometimes I wonder - am i better off working forever like I am doing now and earning a salary of $120K per year? I don’t find any business which can take the place of my job financially. Please share your thoughts.

Great question … and yes, if there is a franchise model out there that I haven’t examined please tell me about it.

There are three out there that I like. I am not sure about them piling up the cash though. 1) Batteries Plus 2) 1-800-Got-Junk 3) Twice the Ice.

I live in too small of an area for Batteries Plus and Got-Junk. Got Junk has a guarantee that if you don’t total 100,000 revenue in year one they will refund your franchise fee.

Twice the ice though is a pretty good one. The dog-gone things just cost too much for me. You have to sell a lot of ice to recoup $ 120,000. I see the ice houses popping up everywhere around here. As with most business’s I think location would play a key role in success or failure with an ice house.

I have two friends that own franchise businesses and are doing extremely well. One of them has three dominoes pizza stores while the other one sells wooden play-ground equipment.

I wonder the same thing too. I could easily double (or triple) my salary by going full-time into network consulting. While not completely ruling it out, I am enjoying not having the headache of being on my own.

Have you ruled out DVD Kiosks?
